Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy

Have you been putting up with niggling aches and pains for a long time?
Have you recently injured yourself, perhaps pulled a muscle, sprained your ankle?

As part of daily life we may get unfortunately get injured, or we carry long-term niggling aches and pains, coping with the discomfort, perhaps taking painkillers most often, putting up with the issue even though it may be not resolve itself fully, but which if left can turn into a chronic condition, leading to months or even years of discomfort.

However, it doesn't have to be that way, both these situations; recovery after injury and long-term, chronic muscle/joint pain, can be treated well with the correct soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation and understanding of how to make any lifestyle adjustements needed.

90 minutes      £60 (in-call)          £70 (out-call)

Many of us experience pain through poor posture, occupational hazards (hours spent driving, hunched over a laptop, working in a awkward posture) or overdoing it in the garden, the gym, or in training for sports events.

Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy is designed to:

  • understand the impact of long-term postural issues on muscles and joints and seek to sort out the underlying problem, not just alleviate the painful symptoms
  • treat injuries like strains and sprains, that have ocurred to soft tissues such as muscle, tendons and ligaments
  • improve the rehabiitation time after such injuries, so function is restored as quickly as possible

Following an initial assessment, this therapy uses slower, deeper, specific techniques that allow the body to relax, release tension, in say shortened muscles, free up knots and restrictions that are responsible for muscular pain and/or referred pain e.g. sciatica, headaches and trapped nerves.

Relief should be felt after the first treatment but, as many issues are the result of years of habitual behaviours/actions, a course of treatments may be needed to achieve longer, lasting success. Guidance will also be given regarding posture, therapeutic stretches and other lifestyle aspects to assist in sorting out the problem.

This massage will help if you experience:
  • Neck, shoulder or back pain
  • Tight hamstrings and glutes
  • Trapped nerves
  • Migraines and headaches
  • Have had a recent or old injury
  • Strains through repetitive actions
  • Bad posture
  • Stress and anxiety related pain
