- warming up those key muscles and increasing the supply of blood and oxygen to them
- helping muscles to relax just enough so there is the full range of joint movement required
- supporting your final preparations for the event, by allowing you to relax and focus on being successful.

Recovery is the primary purpose of post-event sports massage. You'll tend to push yourself harder during an event than while training. A massage afterward is vital to assist a speedy, as pain-free, recovery as possible. The aim of this massage is to:
This can also be the place to identify and begin the process of managing any injuries or niggles that you may have picked up, helping you recover from these more quickly and get back to doing what you love and enjoy.

- Kinesiology taping can also help reduce the swelling caused by bruising and sprains, by supporting the lymphatic system drain excess fluids.
